By Design Quilting, llc. offers machines, training, supplies and special products designed to make dedicated quilters more productive, educated, organized and efficient. The owners are Pat & Al Barry and you will often see them at major quilt shows working with Quilt Center. Pat is one of Quilt Center's trainers and she is a Certified Statler Stitcher

Pat is a professional quilter and is proficient in both free motion and computerized longarm quilting. She has written magazine articles and books that help others become proficient. She is a regular contributor to the OnTrack! Magazine from the International Machine Quilting Assoc. (IMQA) currently writing a series of articles on Developing Business Plans.

Her first book, "ABCs of Longarm Quilting" is geared toward a beginning free motion quilter. This was published by Krause Publications. Her next endeavor was actually a complete software help system and user manual, "CreativeStudio^TM Getting Started". It was written for people who own a Statler Stitcher and need to become proficient with the new software. This was self-published by Gammill, Inc

Look for Pat's patented LCD Quilting Template System that will be available from Quilter's Rule soon. This system was designed to help quilters stitch perfect border Lines, Corners and Designs.

Al’s first project is the Al-A Cart Batting Rack. It features a cutting bar for fast, accurate cuts. The rack can be customized with bins and thread racks to fit the quilter's specific needs and space. Check back often to see what other products he offers.
